Decorating with flowers makes places & venues more lively & inviting. Everybody agrees on that. Flower bouquets are pleasing to the eye, and oftentimes make the occasion more special. The question is, which type of flowers should you choose: real or fake flowers?
Part 1: Fresh Flowers
Fresh flowers are usually the way to go, traditionally speaking. Floral scents, colors, shapes and general esthetics all contribute to creating a great ambience. There are so many several picks, but it all depends on the season.
However, you should also remember fresh flowers don’t last forever & can cost more. Fresh flowers need maintenance & constant care. You should ask your florist which flowers are available locally & are in season, since flowers that aren’t in season and/or imported tend to be more expensive. In this manner, you can have fresh, high-class floral arrangements without having to spend a fortune.
Part 2: Artificial Flowers
There are many types of artificial flowers to choose from. The most popular these days are silk flowers, mainly because they require little maintenance, and are are very affordable and realistic. Aside from requiring only minimal cleaning, some people claim not being able to tell that they’re fake unless they take a really close look!
Of course, artificial flowers also have some disadvantages. They don’t have the fresh scents that only fresh flowers can provide. You can, however, fake it by strategically putting realistic-smelling air fresheners nearby, but it still won’t be the same though.
Part 3: The Vertict
When deciding what kind of flowers you should select, there is no right or wrong answer. It will all depend on your purpose or occasion. For serious home gardeners & for special occasions, fresh flowers are a fantastic choice. For indoor home & office decors, good artificial flowers would probably be your best bet. Before investing in flower arrangements, ask yourself which kind is more practical for you and your budget.
